Why I Love Heart Meditation—and Why It Works


In my coaching practice, I introduce heart meditation to my new clients and the results never cease to amaze me. After 2 weeks of this power practice, my clients experience a powerful shift: they feel more trust toward their inner guidance, feel less dependent on external input and less overwhelmed by their internal critic. Over and over, I see people who once doubted their decisions or felt lost begin to feel confident, clear, and steady.


Why does it work? My theory is that tuning into your heart is like tuning into your personal GPS. From your heart, you reach beyond limitations of your rational mind toward higher wisdom. From your heart, you cut through doubt, fear, and overthinking, allowing you to follow your true calling.

How to Practice Heart Meditation (Pre-Recorded or on Your Own)

This simple, 3-minute guided meditation helps you breathe, relax, and connect with your heart as a daily practice or as needed to find clarity or calm when you’re overwhelmed or unsure.



If you want to try the practice on your own or at times when you don't have access to technology, here are the steps I recommend:


  1. Create a sacred space — light a candle, hold a crystal, or find a quiet place.

  2. Set a timer—start with just 5 minutes.

  3. Sit comfortably, either on a cushion or in a chair, with your back straight.

  4. Place your hand gently on your heart—feel its warmth and connection.

  5. Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

  6. Breathe slowly and deeply—with each inhale, imagine your heart opening and expanding. With each exhale, let tension, doubt, or worries melt away.

  7. Focus entirely on your heart—if your mind wanders, gently bring it back to your hand and your breath.

  8. Optional: Think about a question or your desire for clarity, and listen quietly for what your heart reveals.
